Q: How do I purchase tickets?

A: Tickets will be available on October 15th at 10am. Tickets can be purchased using our secure online ticket portal.


Q: How do I purchase reserved seats?

A: Reserved seats for the event sell out very quickly. If you wish to be placed on a waiting list to receive a reserved seat, purchase a general admission 2 day ticket. In the “comments” section on the order page, you can ask to be placed in a reserved seat if one becomes available.


Q: Is the Crowne Plaza sold out of hotel rooms?

A: Currently there are still a few rooms left at the Crowne Plaza Resort. In order to book, you must call and ask for “in-house reservations”. Once you speak with in house reservations, you will be able to book your room for Bluegrass First Class. If you get transferred to the national reservations call center, they will indicate all rooms are sold out because all booking for Bluegrass First Class is done with the local in-house reservation staff.


Q: Where is my ticket?

A: When you arrive at the Crowne Plaza Resort, come to the hotel check-in area and you will see the Bluegrass Hospitality Desk nearby. Your tickets can be picked up at this location as soon as we have opened on Friday morning. You may check into your room at the front desk of the hotel. Tickets will be required for entrance into all of the shows (sunken lobby and main stage). Please wear your tickets (name badges) at all times.


Q: When can I check in?

A: The Crowne Plaza Resort can check you in as early as 9:00 AM Friday, as room availability permits. You will be checked in as soon as the room is ready. While there is no guarantee for an early check in, we expect the hotel to be less than half full Thursday night, so there is a good possibility you can check in as early as you arrive.


Q: Who is playing and when?

A: Music will be played on the Main Stage and on the Showcase Stage. Please see the performance schedules for the Main Stage as well as the Showcase Stage. Performance schedules will be posted in the main lobby of the hotel. Except for the “Quiet Wing,” jamming will be taking place all over the resort: in the halls, in the meeting rooms, in the lounge….everywhere (24-7).


Q: What if I have questions?

A: There will be staff located in the lobby of the Crowne Plaza Resort at the Bluegrass Hospitality Desk to assist you. Or, you may call Milton via radio from the front desk.


Q: What else is there to do?

A: The Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau will have a desk in the main lobby of the Crowne Plaza Resort and will provide you with information and directions to shopping which includes two large regional malls, the downtown area, and the marvelous Biltmore Village, located just outside the Biltmore Estate. In addition, there is the large River Ridge Outlet Mall, as well as many antique shops in the downtown area. Much more is available; just ask the front desk. The Crowne Plaza Resort also has golf (weather permitting).


Q: What about jammin’?

A: There will be pickin’ around the clock in the halls, rooms, lounge, sunken lobby, and foyer. The entire hotel is reserved for bluegrass fans and performers – It’s all yours, so just have at it! There is one quiet wing in the hotel and in that area we respectfully request that there be no jammin’.


Q: What about next year?

A: You can make reservations for next year while you are at this year’s show. No payment is necessary this year to reserve your room for next year. We’ll be glad to hold it for you. Anyone who has a room at the Crowne Plaza Resort may have a room next year simply by notifying the Bluegrass Hospitality Desk in the main lobby beginning Saturday afternoon. Payment arrangements for tickets and hotel rooms will remain the same. We look forward to giving you the same “First Class” service you receive at each year’s event.
